A personal NaNoWriMo update.
I can’t help it; I love a challenge, perhaps too much. I was
ill for weeks in October, and just starting to feel better when I got the
brilliant idea to sign on for NaNoWriMo.
Okay, easy enough, just click a few buttons, blab to your friends, and
away you go. There was just one problem. I had no idea what to write about,
then a friend told me it is okay to start in the middle, just write 50K words
or more. Bingo.
Last year in NaNo I wrote the novel Novan Witch. It has since
been published. Find it here:

I got a lot of feedback that it would make a great series
and I did start the sequel, but put it aside for another project. So, for Nano
this year I have pulled out the sequel with plans to finish the first draft. I
start NaNo at 32K and will shoot for 85K to call it a win. Here’s the working
cover, but it may not be the final version.

You can follow the link to download the work in progress
from Smashwords. It’s free. It’s listed as Assassin’s Revenge on Smashwords,
but again it will not be the final title.
So, let me know what you think and how you’re doing on NaNo
or if you’re just cheering the rest of us silly fools on.
