Prudence MacLeod's Writings

I'm not just a wanna be farmer, I'm also a writer. I write romance, sci-fi, and action/adventure. Sometimes I even blend the three just for fun.

The romance novels are listed on the left of the page. The other books are listed on the right of the page. Please enjoy. You can also check the other pages of this blog for more.

I also play a lot of World of Warcraft; if you're a player you may spot where that hobby creeps into my writing. :)

St. John's Series

I originally wrote the St. John's series back around the turn of the century. I began at the request of a friend (a psychologist) who was looking for tools that could help folks overcome emotional trauma. She liked my life philosophy and wanted a self help book, but a series of romances seemed like it would be more interesting and fun to read. The St' John's series was the result. I had lived there before and loved the city.

The series begins with Calan.

This is the beginning of the adventure. In Calan we meet Calan MacLeod, a woman who has survived, endured, and overcome much in her short lifetime. She has also accomplish much more, for she has taken all adversity, overcome it, and turned it to her advantage.
Calan teaches other to do what she has done, to rise above all that life throws at you and succeed. She meets and falls in love with Angela and helps her rise above her fears, to shine and to accomplish.

The second book is Angela, in which Angela comes into her own and helps Calan gain closure on her past.

In book three, Clan MacLeod, the friends of Calan and Angela begin to rise above their own fears and find their own paths to a brighter future. Romance is in the air.

Book four brings us to Moira. Someone from the past escapes her life of poverty and flees to a distant city. Unaware that her long lost friend, Calan MacLeod, resides in that city, Moira is only trying to start a new life far away from the old one. Calan is now able to let another part of her troubled past rest.

Book five introduces Gudrun, a woman who was stranded in St. John's at the time of the 9/11 attacks in New York.
After being stranded in Newfoundland on 9/11, Gudrun Erickson re-evaluates her life. She has returned to that faraway place. “I came here to start a new life, one with more purpose and meaning. I am now ready for that life to begin, or at least I will be after my furniture gets delivered.”

I truly hope you enjoy these books folks, I have found my own way from a troubled past to a far better life and I have placed the keys to that success within these stories.

  1. These four books are worth reading and rereading many times. I'm on my sixth or seventh re-read and, I always love the time I spend in St Johns with these amazing people. I just finished Moira and started Gudrun. It is always a treat to get to this point in the series, because Gudrun is my favorite.
