Prudence MacLeod's Writings

I'm not just a wanna be farmer, I'm also a writer. I write romance, sci-fi, and action/adventure. Sometimes I even blend the three just for fun.

The romance novels are listed on the left of the page. The other books are listed on the right of the page. Please enjoy. You can also check the other pages of this blog for more.

I also play a lot of World of Warcraft; if you're a player you may spot where that hobby creeps into my writing. :)

Y/A supernatural

Hi there,

On this page I will group a number of my novels that are oriented to a young adult audience. Especially those who like a touch of the supernatural in their stories. Without further ado, let's start with:

For millions of years a rogue meteor hurtles through space towards Earth, glowing from the vast fields of radiation through which it has passed. A primitive human female gazes in wonder as the burning invader hurtles toward the ground, unaware of the great beast stalking her. All three meet in an instant. Flash forward to the present, yes, she is still here, she has always been here, stalking us, feeding off us, and so have those she has created.

Imagine what might happen if the least powerful of us all was suddenly imbued with powers beyond imagining? They say that with great power comes great responsibility. How many of us could really live up to that responsibility, or would we all fall to the temptation of using that power for our own gain? Would we crumble under the weight of the responsibility, or would we rise to the challenge? Who can say for sure what they will do in any given circumstance, unless they have been thrown into that circumstance?

Perhaps Penny Preston might answer that for you, if by chance you might cross her path one day. According to the records Penny disappeared many years ago, although, from time to time someone will admit to having seen her. Maybe former FBI agent Tara Montrose might help you find her, that is, if you can locate Tara. She seems to have…

All Starla’s efforts had been in vain, so she had ran away and spent months on the streets, begging for money, and secretly, in an abandoned building, practicing the ways of dark magic. At last she was ready, and called upon the god of Darkness. Her fate was sealed, and her death swiftly followed as the demon god answered that dread call.

That’s when Starla learned there really is life after death, not life as promised by the church, or as she had imagined within the sacred circle, but something very different. Now she had to decide what to do with that new life, but she had opened that door to Darkness, would she be able to close it, or would the Denizens of the Darkness over run the world? Death was only the beginning for Starla Kirby.

Megan Carter, injured, battered, abused, but not broken, discovers a weapon that was lost for ages. With the power of this weapon she manages to enlist the aid of an alien queen.

Both are wounded and near death when they are blended into a completely new creature, composed of the best parts of each. She is the Phoenix, and it is she who holds, not only the fate of her own people, but that of humanity as well, in her hand.

Will the mad thirst for vengeance consume the new queen, or will she rise to the challenge and lead her people to safety, and ours to victory, or will the treachery of human politics drive her away and seal our own fate. Time is short, for the destroyers are coming...
